The process

Every transaction leaves a path.

How Capital Path moves from a single report to a prosecution-ready outcome.

The three-layer model

Governance Council

An international board of former regulators and legal experts that sets policy, approves new signatory jurisdictions, and publishes the annual transparency report.

Operations Hub

The working engine — financial analysts, investigators, and legal coordinators who run cases from intake to outcome.

Partner Network

40+ financial intelligence units and regulators worldwide, bound by MOU — giving Capital Path compulsion power no private firm holds.

Capital Path's hybrid model means a public mandate (MOU-backed authority to engage regulators) executed at private-sector speed. This combination is unique — and it's why Capital Path can take cases that neither pure investigators nor pure authorities can handle alone.

The six-step case journey

01

Case submission

You submit a detailed report through the secure intake form. Provide transaction IDs, wallet addresses, company names, and any correspondence you hold. The more detail, the stronger the assessment.

02

Viability assessment

Our intake team reviews every submission within 5–10 business days. Cases are assessed on traceability, jurisdictional reach, and evidence quality. Some cases are declined at this stage — we will always tell you why in writing.

03

Case opened — retainer signed

Accepted cases proceed to a formal engagement. A retainer is signed, a case lead is assigned, and a dedicated case file is opened in our encrypted case management system.

04

Financial tracing

Investigators trace funds using blockchain analytics, SWIFT record analysis, and entity screening tools. We follow the money across exchanges, wallets, shell companies, and jurisdictions — wherever the path leads.

05

Cross-border coordination

Where funds cross borders, Capital Path engages partner FIUs directly under MOU authority. This includes asset freeze requests, MLAT initiation, and restricted database access — capabilities no private firm alone holds.

Outcome

Cases close with one or more outcomes: partial or full recovery of funds, a criminal referral package sent to prosecuting authorities, or a comprehensive intelligence report documenting the network and its methods.

Honest expectations

Crypto fraud recovery is difficult. Capital Path's overall recovery rate is approximately 25–35% — reflecting the reality that many funds move quickly through mixers and non-cooperative jurisdictions. The value of an investigation extends beyond recovery: a criminal referral disrupts the network, and an intelligence report prevents future harm. We will always tell you what outcome is realistic for your specific case.

Case pooling

If multiple victims lost funds to the same network or scheme, Capital Path may bundle cases. Pooled investigations reduce per-case cost, build stronger evidence, and increase the likelihood of coordinated action by partner authorities. If we identify your case as a pooling candidate, we will notify you and seek consent before proceeding.
